there, I'm Dónal and I am a creative frontend developer based in Dublin. I turn bespoke designs into interactive experiences. I focus on user-centric design and aim to produce a harmony of aesthetics and functionality in my work.
So what's a 'creative' frontend developer? Digital design isn't all visual - user experience encompasses the entire journey through a site, app, or product. The way an interface feels to the user and responds to their interaction can be hugely responsible for it's success. This can be achieved through good navigation, consistent flow, visual feedback, fast loading, and fluid response of components on screen, even down to the tiniest animation.
I currently work at HumanIxD in Dublin, designing and building digital interfaces for human beings. We jump right into the user's shoes and design systems and interfaces from this perspective. In my day-to-day I work from flat concept designs and digital prototypes, and using modern web technologies I turn them into user-friendly, functional interfaces.
